If you would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to NorCal Sheltie Rescue and send it to Gale Ann Morris, P.O. Box 581934, Elk Grove, CA 95758. NorCal Sheltie Rescue is a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation and your donation is tax-deductible.
If you would like to foster a rescue Sheltie, you will need to fill out an application (the same one as for adoption). You can download one by clicking on the link above. Clearly indicate on your application if you wish to foster. Once approved to foster, any related veterinary expenses for the Sheltie in foster care will be reimbursed by Sheltie Rescue. Fostering is a very rewarding experience – the joy of caring for and placing a rescue dog is well worth the time and energy!
Every year we take in 40-50 purebred adult Shelties to foster and place in permanent homes. The average age of our rescue dogs is from 4 to 8 years old; it is rare for a Sheltie puppy to come into Rescue.
